Where can I purchase the mini usb connector for the 7" tablet you demonstrated?

Hey. I'm building my first PC and I want make sure that everything is done right. But the other day I was reading about static build up. I have a wrist strap but my whole house is full of carpet. I was wondering if i could use a wood table and ground myself to an old metal hard drive cage. So there wont be any ESD. But my feet will still be touching the carpet. One dude from Comp-USA told me not to have socks on. So I know that part already.
