3dGameMan under the influence of change?

Haha nice video! I´ll give it right back to you, Rodney, and be 100% completely honest - in a polite way, of course (I´ll even be a good boy and register). In your reviews, I am not sure You know who your target group is. It sounds like you are under the impression, that the old folks from ´69 should have a heads up on what has been going on since they last logged on, 10 years ago. You´re not being yourself and relaxed. I guess you do this for for yourself? Or are you running a company, is this your primary income source? Anyway, you´re actually doing a service for us people out here. And we might be born and raised online and know, others out there are doing what you do. We know, we can just switch channels. But with all this freebirding, my generation have also learned gratitude and loyalty. Not many instances on the internet lasts longer than 2 years, then they move on. If you know what I mean? I have been following you for 10 years or more and you, my friend, are very productive! Good thing for us, but all this repetiveness and reviewing the same standard products..you must be bored!

So yes, I agree. Time for a change. We want more Rodney, less corporate stiffness. More engangement and deep analys of the product, less reviews. More fun, more of your silly jokes, because you have the right to - its the internet! You worked your ass of establishing and developing the brand 3DGameMan.com and I believe now it´s time for you to handpick what YOU think is interesting and show it to us! I might work, might not - either way, you are not loosing your sanity and you will keep your integrity as a guy who did what he felt right :)

I´ll register now, because I want to support you. Not out of gratitude for the last 10 years, merely because I believe in change and that it will do you and this site good.

Cheers for a difficult, but good year - and lots to come,
some Danish guy

But.... buuuttt...... Rodney, pills are bad.

It's actually good to see that you're still around doing your thing, and change is expected after so long. I'll definitely keep the internets thing-a-ma-jigger tuned to you, you do a great job man.

Weird, thought I was registered... ah well, now I am!

Change... change... does this mean you're removing the motherboard tray? Oo

Yeah, I like your stuff, and I'm also kinda bored. :P

When my father quit his job and set out to start his own business, he was met with all sorts of negative comments from practically everyone he knew, like you won't make it, you will fail, etc...

He went on to start 2 successful businesses. To succeed you will have to put up with negative comments, cause the people making them don't have the guts to get out there and create something, out of fear of failing.

Rod, you are successful, thats all that matters, success if the best kind of revenge.

Just registered to post this, but your site and videos have been amazing and such an inspiration for the last 9 years or so. Now everyone is doing video reviews :)

When I watched this video the first thing that popped into my mind was "fresh". If anything, this has peaked my interest for this site even more. It also is something I can relate to. Change is needed sometimes, but the core always seems to prevail somehow. It's a strange thing.

Building your own computer is a lost art. These days everyone is buying a Dell or something and sticking in extra ram, ssd's or a video card after the fact.

Yea, the traditional computer gamer/builder, the person who loves not only playing gaming on the computer, but building it, seems to be on dieing breed.

I've been here watching your videos for all of 6+ years.
I never tire of them!
I think you are doing great, and I will always be checking out your helpful reviews.
I do not post as much as I used to in the forums as a few years back I used to work a late night shift that gave me a lot of time to spend on the forums there. Alas I do not have much free time to forum much, but it is nice to know when I have a problem, I can post there and I always get helpful advice/solutions from the members!
I almost get a sense that you might be "burning out". "If" so, we all experience a little of that. I think you are handling it fine, it seems you wish to grow/evolve more as a reviewer which anyone has to respect.
I hope you find a fresh air to make it fun again for you as I will greatly miss you if you leave the industry. Sometimes people need a break from it all and renew that passion again and come back stronger than ever.
...I hope you stay though!

I would love to see your videos become more review-ish and less an overview-by-a-formula.

I have been watching your videos since 2006. I always like your reviews, especially the case reviews.
I dont plan to stop watching now.

In 2010 I made a video review, trying to copy you. I thought it was good at the time, but now that I look back on it, its pretty crappy.

All my videos are bad, the only good video I have ever made was one with a cool old bit of machinery.

Tip: Be human. I always enjoyed your videos, but after some case reviews I fell asleep.

I've been following you for 3 years now and you are my favorite tech reviewer. I just want to say that I like what you do and that it would be sad if you don't continue. Thanks for your work. CYA

hopefully not... must of my pc and a few friends of mine are made based on decisions made from watching your reviews. you're free to do anything you want of course but in my personal opinion, it would be a great loss to see you "leaving" the review industry

I'm not going anywhere yet, until I get totally bored. I'll see how it goes this year and go from there.
