The HIS HD 5970 2GB GDDR5 Video Card has a core speed on this product is 725MHz and the 2GB of GDDR5 256 bit memory is 4GHz DDR. It comes with 3200 stream processing units for vertex, pixel and geometry data, 160 texture units and 64 raster operators. That thing takes forever to spool up the fan from 20% to 100%.

i love my new 5970 video card, but when i'm playing crysis on hight settings i only get 50-50 in FPS. why is it like that, do you know Rodney ore some one els ?

These cards are fairly scarce at the moment, but hopefully when the supply catches up they'll come down a little in price. Just curious about the directx11 graphics Rodney, did you feel the difference between 10 and 11 was really that noticeable while gaming?

The Blower style fan helps both vents to cool down the ROP (Rast Operator).

Depends if the video card is running too much heat which results the fan speed to go faster in order to dissipate the heat from the video card.
