i need a new card
Overall, this is good budget video card for casual gamers.
All I see based-mesh meaning no blending textures on a water, less detail on terrains (environment), less detail on particles, muzzle flash flare decreased, and more... I wish they could've add just a litle bit more vertices, shapes, and polygons to make the graphics look a bit real.
Right now, when I take a look closely at the character's face in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it looks terrible because all you see is blurry pixels which means the designers didn't add enough polygons to make it look realistic as possible.
I'm pretty sure every knows that HD 5830 video card can play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 very well it's because HIS manufacturer had tested the benchmarks which results average FPS of 80-90 depending on resolutions, AF, and AA. Infinity Ward did want to add more polygons to make the graphics look better, but the designers didn't wanted to do that otherwise the consumers will be unsatisfied with 50-60 FPS. Infinity Ward dev-teams had worked very hard on keeping the performance to run smoothly as possible.
The HD 5830 video card can play Crysis, regardless on Resolution, textures, shaders, model details, dynamic light range, and more. Anti-Aliasing does kill amount of FPS to reduce jagging (tearing) images.
I'm very impressed with ATI because now they're actually starting to wake up and competed against Nvidia company.
I know ATI will never forget to focus on Stability, Warranty & Service, Reliability, GPU Performance, Price Range, and Power Consumption.
That's a pretty good budget video card. This will be a perfect choice for casual gamers. Well, the HD 5830 will be great for High School and College Students to play Direct-X 10 & Direct-X 11 games (including myself).
