I was extremely tickled to stumble across this website.I wanted to thank you for this Interesting blog!! I really enjoyed every little bit of it and I have you favorited to take a look at new tales you post.
nice card from palit,!!!
I guess palit really stepped up and have been very forthright on there approach with this card.
badaboom sound very helpful and the graphics card is great I might be getting this for my new rig still looking though I have other options
It's good to finally see some designs coming out that abandon those dodgy blowers, the fans look surprisingly effective. I might be picking one of these babies up in the near future.
Palitusa Where can i buy this gpu? I want it so bad.
It will be up on newegg and tigerdirect very soon. Probably within this week or next week.
They sent him an nVIDIA product...now that's news...
with the fan at 92% it almost sounds like driving beside a tractor trailer on the highway
anyone noticed that they made an exact duplicate of the backplate and video connections on the 5770/5850/5970 and alot of the radeons
Thats a nice graphics card, but my GTX 480 is better :P
Who the hell is palit? Never heard of them tbh Ill just stick with evga
Palit is world wide manufacturer. We are actually one of NVIDIA biggest manufacturer.
We just venture here in the US region market, I'm sure you will hear more about us very soon.
Evga fact 101. They do not make their own video card, they contract their video card. :)
will it run cooler when you remove the plastic top of it? because i got a 4890 that has pretty much the same cooler on it
Would a Corsair 750HX PSU be adequate to power this card?
My Computer consists of
That PSU should be able to handle two GTX470s. :)
That powersupply is enough to power the Palit GTX470
I think that as long as you don't do any crazy overclocks and have 2 PCI-E 6-pins available, you'll be fine.
I don't have the card, but I don't think this card requires as much power as some people tend to think.
Aah! The cooler seems just as loud as my friend's gaming laptop! Whenever he's gaming it sounds like his laptop might take off into space XD
Thanks for the kickass review, Rodney!
Our fan is not that loud compare to others. You have to remember Rod tested this probably in open room with the video card not inside the case.
So if you have a good case then you probably won't even heard that sound.
Nice review there!
Everyone's talking about airflow and PC-cases but I'm concerned as my ambient rom temp increase alot ”30C+”, need good airflow thru your room as well ;) I'm considering the "Thermalright Spitfire" and a nice table fan for my GPU
Does this support three monitors since it has a display port?
Btw, why I can't post this with my account? It said something like "Your submission has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted". I'm aigamerDS.

I tried everything, including create a new account, using proxy, but no luck. I wanted to help someone by answering question on the forum, but I can't.
I tried that, but it doesn't work. I have a feeling that I'm banned for unknown reason.
There are spam filters and such working in the background. If you were banned you would not be able to post at all. Try from another computer on another network.
More likely it's a problem with the spam detectors blocking ham and for that to be fixed Zach will need to take a look. As far as I can tell everything about the aigamerDS account is active.
Does anyone know if the Orange fans are UV active?
I clicked refresh on this review alot, =3 so happy to see a review on a product I'm going to purchase! Thank you so much.
This specific model is hard to find. Most retailers like newegg show only the single fan GTX 470 and I've been holding onto my pennies for a long time for a card like this.
They will up in about 1-2 weeks on Etailers like Newegg, Tigerdirect, Mwave...etc.
We got the shipment in today. :)
so Rodney I guess you finally get to review a kickass Nvidia card. Good thing Palit decided to send you a card for review and hopefully they will become your official Nvidia partner lol and send you more cards as well :)
Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather you combine the unboxing video with the review. I'm going to have to give you 3 out of 5 stars Rodney..lol. Everyone is a critic. heh. I'll take it off your hands if you don't want it.
P.S. I've been sick this week.
Sapphire must come with a solution for this cards 470/480 :) or... hmm do they do nvdia?
Gainward GeForce GTX 465 1GB DDR5 256-bit has the same cooler as this palit gtx470...
Palit Microsystem is Parent company of both Gainward/Galaxy/Xpertvision(turned into Palit brand instead)
PALiT GTX 470:
320 bit memory is 3350MHz
448 CUDA Cores
Gainward GTX 465:
256 bit memory is 3206MHz
352 CUDA Cores
Kinda funny you said that this ha accurate color reproduction but it;s been proven over and over for years that ATI equivalents are superior in at least that way.
Not saying the GTX 470 is not a good card or that nvidia graphics cards are inferior overall but at least in that way they have always lagged behind.
for some reason i can't view the video.
Video Review should be up in an hour or so. Please be patient while YouTube processes it :)
The video review has been removed, again
Fans are very loud.. and the video card is very hot... I think nvidia failed :(
Maybe wather cooling is the solution to all of this :) but it will get expensive...
That is NVIDIA standard PCB. But the Palit customized one comes with better fan/cooling so noise and heat has be gradually reduced without jacking up the price.
:) ...And you can overclock it and it is 2 year warranty now from Palit.
Actually, with Palit's own cooler design the GTX 470 video card is on par with the ATI HD 5850, with respect to GPU temperature (and gaming performance).
Video Review will be up later this afternoon. Thanks for your patience.
Oh its been removed ? Shame was lookign forward to this ;)
What is with the completely different card at 3:15?
Editing the video now, should be up a little later.
Oh, okay. I thought that there was something particularly odd about that. :P
Other than that confusion, excellent review, as always. (:
I'm uploading it again now, so if you see anything off with this one, please let me know.
