It's good to finally see some designs coming out that abandon those dodgy blowers, the fans look surprisingly effective. I might be picking one of these babies up in the near future.

Palit is world wide manufacturer. We are actually one of NVIDIA biggest manufacturer.
We just venture here in the US region market, I'm sure you will hear more about us very soon.

Evga fact 101. They do not make their own video card, they contract their video card. :)

Would a Corsair 750HX PSU be adequate to power this card?

My Computer consists of

  1. Gigabyte P55A-UD6 motherboard
  2. 8 Gig RAM
  3. Intel i7-860 Processor
  4. 3 Western Digital Hard Drives
  5. 1 Intel X25M SSD
  6. 1 DVD writer
  7. ATI 5720 Video card.

That PSU should be able to handle two GTX470s. :)

That powersupply is enough to power the Palit GTX470

I think that as long as you don't do any crazy overclocks and have 2 PCI-E 6-pins available, you'll be fine.

I don't have the card, but I don't think this card requires as much power as some people tend to think.

Aah! The cooler seems just as loud as my friend's gaming laptop! Whenever he's gaming it sounds like his laptop might take off into space XD

Thanks for the kickass review, Rodney!

Our fan is not that loud compare to others.  You have to remember Rod tested this probably in open room with the video card not inside the case.

So if you have a good case then you probably won't even heard that sound.

Nice review there!
Everyone's talking about airflow and PC-cases but I'm concerned as my ambient rom temp increase alot ”30C+”, need good airflow thru your room as well ;) I'm considering the "Thermalright Spitfire" and a nice table fan for my GPU

Does this support three monitors since it has a display port?

Btw, why I can't post this with my account? It said something like "Your submission has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted". I'm aigamerDS.

I tried that, but it doesn't work. I have a feeling that I'm banned for unknown reason.

There are spam filters and such working in the background. If you were banned you would not be able to post at all. Try from another computer on another network.

More likely it's a problem with the spam detectors blocking ham and for that to be fixed Zach will need to take a look. As far as I can tell everything about the aigamerDS account is active.

I sleep fine at night knowing we are banning people who deserve it.  Tivon

I clicked refresh on this review alot, =3 so happy to see a review on a product I'm going to purchase! Thank you so much.

This specific model is hard to find. Most retailers like newegg show only the single fan GTX 470 and I've been holding onto my pennies for a long time for a card like this.

When people lose sight, they pray for better vision. Even though the path of ignorance was their choice, they believe it to be an outer entity like karma or bad luck - in thus believing an outer cause will cure it. You want change? Stop throwing dirt in your eyes to attain mercy for looking weak.

We got the shipment in today. :)

Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather you combine the unboxing video with the review. I'm going to have to give you 3 out of 5 stars Rodney..lol. Everyone is a critic. heh. I'll take it off your hands if you don't want it.

P.S. I've been sick this week.

Kinda funny you said that this ha accurate color reproduction but it;s been proven over and over for years that ATI equivalents are superior in at least that way.

Not saying the GTX 470 is not a good card or that nvidia graphics cards are inferior overall but at least in that way they have always lagged behind.

Fans are very loud.. and the video card is very hot... I think nvidia failed :(

Maybe wather cooling is the solution to all of this :) but it will get expensive...

That is NVIDIA standard PCB.  But the Palit customized one comes with better fan/cooling so noise and heat has be gradually reduced without jacking up the price.

:) ...And you can overclock it and it is 2 year warranty now from Palit.

Actually, with Palit's own cooler design the GTX 470 video card is on par with the ATI HD 5850, with respect to GPU temperature (and gaming performance).
