I like the idea, but they could have done better with audio. You should review the Livescribe Pulse or Echo smartpens as well. Those are similar to this, but only record audio HOWEVER, the tradeoff is audio quality. The pulse and Echo i believe can record in 44.1khz, 48khz, and 96khz in low, med. and high quality settings, respectively. There is also a mic sensitivity setting, which is by default automatic. The model I have has two mics on it, but the models today have only one. As well, the pulse and echo have 96x18 OLED sisplays, can run apps, and they are designed for a similar purpose as this, but can link writing to audio, via a 72 fps infrared camera at the tip and a unique micro dot pattern on the needed paper. It writes on any paper, but its functions require dot paper. I'll leave the rest to a review.
