The Cooler Master Storm Spawn Gaming Mouse has a 3500 DPI optical sensor, 60 IPS, 20G, 7 programmable buttons, rubber grips, long cable and is affordable. If you're right handed and have average to large sized hands, this might be the mouse for you.
It is called a satin finish dude. It looks like a typical rubberized satin finish??
From the coolermaster website:
"Anti-Drift Control Sensor
The Spawn gaming mouse utilizes a high performance optical engine that ensures extreme stability. Built with an anti-drift system, it provides lossless performance during lifts and drops. With a built-in angle snapping option, one can formulate the perfect flick shot to maximize their kill rates with sheer accuracy."
Could you please demo this feature? For FPS games a low lift off distance is supposed to help. Also could you please review the Zowie EC1 and EC2 Mice.
Where can I buy it I am in canada
Hey Rodney, what about us left handers? Do they have a left hand version? Cheers!
Unfortunately they don't at this time.
Nice review, although I would have like to see 2 things mentioned:
1) How well it performs over extended periods (though this is subjective, I've found comments such as "the pinkie's position is a little awkward when you move more than 4 inches" to be useful).
2) The buttons can be programmed for macros, which is a nice feature, but is likely disallowed in a lot of Starcraft 2 tournaments (just as an example).
I'm still looking to replace my Razer Diamondback (which is getting somewhat old), and this mouse is a contender to be sure.
Well, it's a claw design, so it's a little wider and yes the hand on mouse, "pinkie" potion might take some time to get used to.
Hey Rodney,
I want to buy this mouse but I need more info before I commit. Concerning it's size can you tell me how it compares to other popular gaming mice? I have smaller hands and most gaming mice are palm style and to big. The biggest issues being height then length. Here are a few I've tried.
Logitech G9x
RAT 7
Razers (most of them)
Logitech G500
Steelseries Xai and Ikari
Some of the smaller mice (G9x, Xai) in that list were almost perfect but failed due to features that didn't work for me. I'm hoping the Spawn will be.
Well, it's a little shorter, but wider than most other mice. So it might just work for you.
Nice! I haven't seen mouse review videos from you for some time. Are you gonna be reviewing any other mice? eg. Razer products?
Sure, Razer can send me products if they like ;)
Identical packing to the Inferno. Just a different clamshell. I really like the inferno for palm grip. The spawn is more for claw grip.
I think my G9 is probably better
I've probably gone through 5 million clicks with my Steel Series Reaper Edge, but the sob doesn't have any windows 7 drivers. Still works, but I'm upgrading as soon as I see a good sale on a better mouse.
Hey Rodney are you ok??
Your face is a little how can i say it...is it hurt?
Btw another good video review!
Yea, I have a cold, but so does everyone else in the family. My young son has croup (infant laryngitis) and flue with high fever, daughter still has the flu and now Sherry (wife) has it. Anyone with a family will know what I'm going through in this situation. A lot of sleepless nights lately, so forgive me if I don't look 100%.
Rodney has had a cold for a while now. :(
Looks like a good mouse. Nice paint finish, thumb grips, two side buttons and good round shape.
