The Be Quiet! Straight Power 680W & 700W Power Supplies are both 80 Plus Gold certified, AMD Crossfire approved, come with a quiet 135mm fan and look great. The E9 680W CM is modular, but the E9 700W model isn't. Both offer clean power and lots of it for most setups.
6970 + 920 on full load aren't particularly taxing on the PSU.. hardly 400w?
Nobody buys this kind of power to run just one GFX card unless it's 6990 or Gtx590
will 700W be enough for; Asus Sabertooth p67, intel i5 2500k, Sapphire Radeon 6970, 8gb 1600 ram, Seagate Barracude XT 2tb, Samsung 830 64gb ssd, XSPC Rasa 240. --> will 700W be enough? :)
i have a similar system and it runs fine with the 700W. ;)
Rodney, what do you use to load test the power supplies?
Prime95 for system & rthdribl for video, ran at the same time.
they do make descent PSU that look really good imo... there just to expensive.
It cost about the same as a Corsair HX750W
Or get the XFX Black Edition 750W which is very cheap and a very good PSU
I think this review lacks ripple measurements at varying loads and a efficiency at varying load test would also be nice to see.
This was more like an unboxing if you ask me..no offense
Nice Power supplies I was wondering when Be Quiet brand was comming to Canada. I looked and could not find it at the retail stores (NCIX, Canada Computers...etc). Hey Rodney will you be selling them on your site?
Yep, I'll be listing them soon.
680W and 700w, 20W difference, very strange. :S
Remember that the 680W is modular and the 700W isn't. So while in the same Straight Power series they are a little different in that sense.
Hello, i was wondering if getting a newer power supply was really worth it, i want to build a computer and dint know if getting an older model power supply like an antec true power new 750w, would be ok.
