The ADATA DashDrive Durable HD710 External HDD performs very well, waterproof, shockproof, compact, looks great, available in different capacities and comes in 3 color options. If you're looking for an external HDD durable HDD enclose, this is it.
Hello 3dgameman!
I've read a few complaints about the connect between the drive and cable is loose and intermittent at times, can you address this?
Thanks,
JT
GREAT!
Yesterday I've bought 1 tera yellow-black item... bofore it I did brief marketing studies by comparing price/capacity&perfomanceof different avaiable drives of WD, Transcend, Verbatim & so on... it seems in retail this drive is the most attracting 'cause I've got it for $107/1TB, i.e. less than 11 UScents/1GB !!! Not too bad especially if compare it with WD Elements or Seagate Agent that cost at least 5 to 15 dollars more in Dniepropetrovsk, Ukraine today!...
I recently have made direct backup of notebook's HDD - about 70GB of data in 1h30m only, more than 45000 files in it!... perhaps I'll repair this notebook now... :)
So, ADATA HD7100 1TB is really Must-to-Have item!!!
Hi! Thanks for the nice review. I have a question about the hdd that can it be password protected? Does this hdd have option. like wd my passport.
HI. Thanks for the nice review. I have a question that does it have a password protection function. I mean can it be password protected.
does this model of hard drive come in 1tb
MIL-STD 810G 516.5 now that's a mouthful!
Thanks for the nice review.
I would've said 100% Kickass product but very weird that the burst read rate is only 5.6MB/s.
Did you try it on a USB 2.0 port or another 3.0 port? Sometimes there are issues with the USB 3.0 ports or drivers which slow the hdd down.
I almost thought you were going to blend it too! Seems like a nice enclosure.
I'm confused, isn't read burst rate supposed to be higher than avg read rate?
Nice "testing" there btw! XD
Yes, I'm not sure why the BURST burst rate is so low, I believe it's a HD Tune issue. I tested and restested it with the same result. Very odd.
