The Nexus Prominent 5 Case's main theme is low noise. With acoustic dampening foam on both side panels and other anti-vibration features, it will keep your system virtually silent. If you require a spacious case with great features and it has to be quiet, this might just be it.
I love how you use metric units!
I'm from Canada. Fact is, most of the world uses metric units. You're from the US?
Yeah ofc. No I'm Swedish. :)
The website shows the case with 2 USB 3.0 ports. Is it just the upgraded model that has the 2 USB 3.0 ports?
Also, how does this case compare to the Prominent R? Which one will hold bigger graphics cards?
Thanks!
Rodney,
what is the weight of the case?
you forgot to fill it in
greetz
Justin
The weight of the Nexus Prominent 5 Case is or 9.5kg 21 lbs.
Why not a Prominent 9, Rodney? I'm thinking about getting one in Amazon.com.
The Prominent 9 is almost the same, except doesn't have a black interior, but has more 3.5" drive bays.
Based on your recommendation i wanted to know which ( quiet case) you would recommend. Regardless of price. Thanks.
Besides this case Nexus has a few more, the Prominent R, Caterpillar, Antec has the Performance line, NoFan has a few, NZXT H2, also the Gigabyte Cupio 6140 Ultra Quiet.
Nice review Rodney Reynolds, I really like your computer hardware reviews, they give me lots of information that I seek before buying a product (especially online). What I like about your reviews is that you tell me everything I need to know about the product and you do it really simple so that its very easy for me to understand the cons and pros about the product.
However, I hope you can do a review of the Cooler Master Cooler Master Silencio 550 Midi Tower cabinet.
It would be really nice if you could do that because its an low in cost and you get a lot for the buck in this case.
And what is most important for good gaming graphics; a good CPU or a good GPU?
Cheers

Thanks bud. I appreciate it :)
It looks alot like my old Cooler Master 690
Except that it does not have acoustic dampening material and the front of the 690 does not look that stylish.
But to each their own.
I have a question: At the mobo there are ports for usb 3.0 and usb 2.0. Now on the front panel of the case (in any case), what if I plug the wire from a white front port on the usb 3.0 of the mobo, it will make the white front usb port turns into a 3.0 ?
No stock USB 3 on this case.
On the European model there are USB3.0 ports.
