I haven’t updated it, kinda left the RodneyReynolds site because I have no time for it ATM.
My suggestion for the website:
You might want to disable links for anonymous users and users with less than 5 posts. Will that work to curb spam?
Excellent suggestion
I still think the “save” button should be renamed to “post” button
Im a bit confused atm with the Forums, When I posted my HTPC Build log so to say, I see Replys and it shows how many people replied but its more like I have 0 replies and the replys are actually Views, but under Views it doesnt say any number at all. But every other thread for the area I posted in (Mods) it works as it should.
It’s a flaw Zack needs to fix. If no one replies to your thread there is no data in the replies field and so it causes the whole table to move over one row. Once someone posts in your thread it will realign back into place.
“0 Reply” bug:
There a bug that I need to report. If you have a monitor greater than 1080p like me (I have 2560×1440 27″ monitor), you’ll notice a crazy bug when you enter the full screen mode. The page appeared to be ok when the window is small enough, but when it expand wide enough, the bug takes place. Fixing it would be good idea.
Here’s a screenshot when the window is not big enough:

And this is what happened when the window get big enough:

Any question?
Can you please be more descriptive about which bug you are referring to?
Are you referring to the forum that is too far to the right?
What you are seeing is a tab error common in Chrome and IE, dependant on resolution. At 3840×1080 I was seeing similar issues until the last Chrome build (v21.0.1180.89), and it corrected itself. IE is still forces everything to the right. It does not corrupt the page at all, just shifts it off of center, and this cannot be controlled by the HTML itself as the browser is incorrectly altering the column position.
Not really a negative or positive thing but i came back for the first time in about a year today and i got a good giggle when it said that i only had 15 posts where in reality, i had something like +640 posts! hahhaha :p

With the software update, the counts got reset. I had well over 10 thousand, and was in 9th or 10th in total posts. Still haven’t broken 1000 on the new set. I need to quit slacking!
Wow! I figured as much but dang, that stinks, more so for you! 😛 Perhaps we should just go on a insane thread post spam fest until we yet again feel the apparent seniority and manliness of a large post count! hahaha!

I don’t recommend it, especially as I am now moderating the spam… Cleanup work for me to do, me banning you… LOL!
Seriously, though, don’t spam.

I experienced around a 1 to 2 hour period where I couldn’t resolve the URL for the site, around 2-3PM EST. Issues?
I’ve noticed the website and forum have been loading kind of slow today. Kind of hit and miss, waiting some moments and other times it’s just fine.

We’ve been testing some CDN functionality with Google. Found that some of the features slowed things down since our new server is pretty much in beast-mode for speed. So limited it to just serving images and it seems to have balanced out. Let us know if it still seams slow. Thanks!
Overall, I’ve been seeing a lot of slowdown net-wide, at lease on the US hubs. Word is that there is a significant level of attack being levied on ISP systems the last couple days, which may explain why I couldn’t resolve the URL yesterday.
Where are the fun smilies? :3
Just a heads up, crew, we are getting “date Arab women” Flash ads today, with photographic content that may not be what we want here. I’ll let you all make what ever changes are deemed necessary.
Secondly, I CANNOT change my profile picture. No matter the browser (tried Chrome, IEv11, and Safari) I can peg the file, but can’t get it to actually upload. Probably because it’s a shot of my beardy-ness, but still… CANCEL THAT, it posted, just didn’t do it immediately for some reason. And now I must change my profile name to REDBEARD.
Just popping in on one of my infrequent visits…
Don’t see any Porn ads since I use adblock. Haven’t recently tried to change my avatar so can’tr comment on that function.
Also (and this is not the first time I have complained about this) I’ve been registered here for about a decade under one or other ids. Why on earth is your forums making me enter a freaking captcha code when I am posting under my own ID and no anonymous? It is annoying and one of the reasons my visits here are so infrequent. Members should never be subjected to that.
A small aside for Nick: I see by your sig you have been promoted to 3dgm admin. Good for you! You have stuck around here helping folks all this time and deserve it. Gratz bro!
Hey guys… I’ll look into it 🙂
Commenting had captcha on it to deal with some spam bots. It has been removed… enjoy 🙂

Well, Rod realized that he couldn’t get rid of me, so he put me to use!
