2015-06-25 – Sorry for my absence, we’ve had another run of medical problems through the family and I haven’t had the opportunity to sit at a PC for quite a while. We had a big run of “buy SoundCloud views” or some such. I think I got them all, but if you spot one, please alert me ASAP and I will remove it.
2015-05-20 – The current bacth of spammers are creating a new account, listing a generic “your post is great” comment, with a signature that includes a link. Examples: “How to increase views on YouTube”, “How to get listeners on SoundCloud”. Please copy the URL for the Forum thread and paste it here as a response, and I will have it removed.
2015-01-07 – I am seeing a greater number of accounts being made that post ONE way-off-topic post and then go idle. While they are not actually posting sales links and garbage we don’t want here, these off-topic posts lend nothing to the discussions here, and I will be removing them as general spam anyway! Spammers, please recognize that this is an ADMIN-CONTROLLED FORUM, and your accounts may also be removed. Thanks!

Pardon me for asking an off-topic question but shouldn’t Razear get the blue color for his/her posts? It’s like it’s impossible to distinguish between regular users and moderators.

Nope. I have the amazing ability to BE TOO POOR to contribute cash! Let’s hope that gets fixed this year.
Only for right now, I figure using the “contributed members” option is an okay compromise until Zach can get around to it. I’m looking at this temp fix as “people that have contributed working time hours to 3GM”. This is not a life and death situation to worry about.

I would very much like to get into a Bulldozer, but at the moment renovating the kitchen is taking priority. We are currently walking on bare plywood, cooking on a stove that works only sometimes, washing dishes in a dishwasher that needs weekly repairs, and PRAYING that the fridge doesn’t suddenly freeze up again and melt everything inside. After that, technology may be possible, but my wife needs a new laptop for work (work from home stuff) so she gets first dibs on what is left over.
I hate being a nice guy… “Screw you all, I’m building a $4000 computer and PLAYING GAMES FOREVER!!!” LOL! I never could, but the thought does cross my mind!

Oh, yeah, Tivon or 3dGameMan, can you remove user account “jakttout” as he seems to be the rebirth of the golf posts.

Nope. I can directly remove posts, but I don’t have any options for users yet. I think we need my account moved over to mod or whatever flag is set for the position for me to have any control over user accounts.
Unless I am missing something obvious here. And with me, that is always a possibility…
Would be nice if someone up above would give the new forum mods user active to blocked options.. Maybe next year would be a better time??? lol

I think this will make it a lot easier to track which threads I want to uread and report spammers without repeatedly opening e-mail messages.
