I would like you all to meet Chandler Klebs and listen to the podcasts he has been uploading with his friends George Ortega and Trick Slattery on Youtube, it’s kinda important and I posted this on the off topic section because it has little to do with PC tech.

But the discussion on whether or not we have a free will has raged for a long time and recent findings suggest we do not have a free will. That does not mean we should get rid of our laws, in fact, reward and punishment are necessary to condition people to behave morally. That means murder should remain illegal and punishable by prison, same thing with armed robbery, drug dealing, fraud, rape etc and the age of consent should remain above the age of puberty, i.e 16 at minimum IMHO. There also needs to be a debate on whether or not religion should be allowed in schools, I don’t think it should be.

I wouldn’t support the death penalty though, even though what terrorists do is very cruel, quarantining them in prisons until we discover a cure for psychopaths should be enough.

The free will issue has made me think it through more and revenge doesn’t make a whole lot of sense when you realize everything, even human action, was caused. Your thoughts?
