If yes, what other GPU will it be equivalent to?I am planning for the Saphire R7 250x 1GB DDR5.My motherboard is GIGABYTE Ultra durable H61 btw.Thnkx in advance
For crossfire/sli you need a better motherboard, because in this one the pci slot will slow down both. But it does not worth it anyway, double heat, double power comsuption for max. 1.5 performance and only in games what supports crossfire. Crossfire/sli is for multi monitor setups, for single monitor you will be always golden with single gpu, so what i suggest is to sell your current vga and buy a stronger one if you want better performance.
I agree. It appears that motherboard also only has one 16x PCIe slot, so there would be no way to connect a second card without a 1x to 16x expander module, but that second GPU would be only receiving data at 1/16 of the speed of the original GPU.
My advice would be to look for a R9 280X 3GB card. It will out-perform two R7 250X cards anyway, and prices have dropped recently as cryptocurrency miners are slowly losing focus on AMD’s GPU hardware.

Yeah I used to envy SLI/crossfire setups but I think they’re overrated nowadays, I’ve seen what kind of problems can come about with them and you don’t get to combine the video memory with DX11 or previous games. So the additional 2gb or whatever gets wasted on being mirrored. DX12 is supposed to fix that but I didn’t see it as enough of an incentive alone to buy an ATX motherboard.
I think for one monitor, especially if you’re not gaming at 4k you’re better off just buying one graphics card then saving the money to change it out later on for a better one. It’s more energy efficient and cost effective that way, and your PSU will last longer too.
