It’s actually free forever once you attach it to your Steam account, but it’s only a 24 hour promotion. They’re doing it to celebrate the franchise’s 3-year anniversary, and PayDay 2 is on Free Weekend as well as discounted.

Okay, the last “free for 24 hours” title I attached gave me a time limit. I figured this was the same.

which game nick? titanfall? Bf4? they have done “free play weekends” where you can play for a limited time… these are completely free to keep 🙂

This would have been a while ago, no recent game. I’ve used the free weekend deals and such, but this was labeled just as this one was. Perhaps they have changed how they advertised deals. This particular one started counting down from the first time I launched, and after 24 hours Steam wouldn’t allow me to access it without purchase.

I’ve been on Steam for a LONG TIME, since the beta in 2002. So who knows what I actually saw.

Nice! Many of my Steam friends have been playing Payday 2. Hopefully, it will be on sale along with other games I’ve been following on Steam Black FRiday sale. 😀
