Hey Rodney!

I’ve been playing a game called Guild Wars 2, and it seems quite a demanding game. I can run games like Skyrim with relative ease, but this one seems to push my system to its limits. It’s a big mystery. I was just wondering how you personally would approach running the game? Thank you for your channel, and I appreciate it if you answer!

I’m playing this game since beta, but it runs smooth for me on my oldie core 2 duo system. Mostly minimum settings, but smooth. So i think you are using amd and that is the problem. This game is cpu heavy so intel what it needs, i suggest an i5 cpu.

Mumbie, I have run this in beta as well, on AMD systems, with no fault what so ever. My system specs were an Athlon Brisbane 6000+ X2, AGP Radeon HD 4670, and 4GB of 800Mhz RAM. This game is far more demanding on video than on CPU, as my kids couldn’t play it well (at high quality) at all on a similar system, except with a PCIe Radeon HD 2600 Pro, and had to move to a more mid-level graphics quality.

My current machine, based on an FX-9590, PCIe Radeon R9 280X OC, and 32Gb 2133Mhz RAM, can play this game on one core with the video card napping between frames. Don’t shoot AMD down as a functional gaming system, as this game recommends (on the AMD side) a simple X2 (no speed recommendation at all on the wiki) to run the game.

Have fun, be safe! Sláinte!
