Hi i recently changed my pc case (1 week ago) to a corsair graphite 780t and i’m getting a weird smell coming from it.
It’s a plasticy something smell not a burned one at any case. All the temperature are at normal rates and all the cables and capacitors on all the pc parts (hdd, cpu, psu, rams, gpu) are checked 5 times.
Is it posible the case as a case to be smelling like this? or lets say the case fans?
Some helps is appreciated, thanks.

Sometimes you’ll get this smell and if everything is normal otherwise, just monitor it.

Yep.

Think of it as that “new computer smell”. It is akin to the “new car smell” and is caused by many of the same reasons. If you installed a new power supply, those are well known for that plasticy smell as they ‘burn in’. That is because the plastics and other new parts in your computer case are new and never have been subjected to electricity or heat.

As Rodney says it is normal. If it continues for more than a week or under general use you might want to keep an eye on it just in case something is getting too warm but the smell should eventually go away.
