I think this one wasn’t mentioned before: Open Broadcaster Studio.
It’s a great free software for streaming video games or recording your screen or gameplay.

Two excellent music/media collection organizer and players that are free include

MediaMonkey
http://www.mediamonkey.com/
MusicBee
http://getmusicbee.com/

Both allow synchronizing libraries with portable media devices/MP3 players.

Eset online !

Anybody knows a free Audio all-around tool that works like Cool Edit was?

I recommend Audacity. I use it often to clean up audio from video recorders during production.

@eire1274 you’re a wealth of information. 😀 Audacity looks pretty good and it doesn’t cost anything… always a good thing

Thanks! That’s why Rodney keeps me around!

Winamp is a good free media player, supports many formats as well as community made skins and visualizations, can rip audio CD’s directly to mp3 and is very lightweight. 😉

Wow, Winamp is still alive? I was running that on Windows 95, before AOL bought the project. I thought it had died when AOL fell apart!

Sort of lol but there are websites that make Winamp available to download. There is of course VLC player and mediamonkey. But everyone’s got their preference 🙂
