Hello, and thanks for reading, I was wondering if it is possible to get android 4.4 Kitkat on my Pioneer R1 tablet, its correctly running 4.2, it works but I’d really like to get 4.4/4.4.2 or at the very least 4.3 cause I have that on my galaxy S3 and I’m use to it.
This is my first tablet so I don’t know a whole lot about rooting and such so I don’t even know where to look.
Any help would be nice and again, thanks.

I’d suggest you take this to XDA Developers. I don’t see a KitKat build for your hardware, but you can find a lot of info on their forums on building a custom ROM, or where to download and how to install if one has already been built.
Pioneer has not released an official KitKat build, and I can’t find any info suggesting they intend to release one.

Well the only thing I could find was this and it seems way too iffy, is there any one that could um, I don’t know, check if its legit or I don’t know, here is what I found,

Those instructions let you get to ROOT console control, lets you get into otherwise unauthorized software, but still won’t give you an OS update.
Ah, I wonder if I can find the os mod or I forget what its called for the Gigabyte tablet, if it’ll work for my tablet.
