Hi guys,
I recently bought some parts for a new gaming pc. I started to assemble it about 3 days ago and couldn’t get it to start up. I’ve tested the power supply already. It’s actually in my old PC and it’s working fine. I believe it’s a mobo problems. The computer seems to try to start and the heatsync fan spins for a less than a second then nothing. I also hear a clicking sound whenever it tries to start up. I’ve made sure I connected all the connectors in the proper places. Like I said the psu is powering my current pc. I made a video of what is happening if anyone would like to see and perhaps knows or has any ideas of what is going on. The mobo I have is a H97m-D3H.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

What you are seeing is a ground fault interrupt. Power is shorting out to ground. A screw trapped behind the motherboard or any million other possibilities can cause this. My recommendation is to tear it all down and rebuild the system carefully.

If you are unable to find it after this, you may have a bad motherboard or other component.

Best of luck!

Have fun, be safe! Sláinte!
